While we move through the summer of 2021, there's an element of doubt about what Rotary continues to offer the connections between people that Rotary members valued over the years. Although the mantra of "hands-face-space" is certain to become commonplace in the club, it's clear that trust is growing and that there is a greater number of face-to-face relationships. However, the nature of Rotary is changing. In the months leading up to summer 2021, there is still uncertainty about what we can do to provide services to our community, which involves the importance of human connection valued by Rotary members of old. Although the "hands facing space" principle is certain to be a part of the daily routines in our organization, there's no doubt that a sense of confidence is developing and more people make face-to-face connections. Rotary has also changed. Rotary is a social network which fosters lasting friendships. This has inspired us to enhance our technology techniques. We maintain our business on the internet, while introducing a new activities for service and social. These new options have been combined with our best pre-pandemic practices to help create a brand new and bright outlook for Rotary. In a Rotary survey recently conducted, it was encouraging to learn the fact that 75% clubs had planned their normal events and initiatives that have previously benefited communities across Great Britain and Ireland. The Rotary Support Center is equally proud to continue providing useful resources for the advancement of these projects, and keeping the infrastructure in place to keep both members and public safe. The compliance and insurance aspect plays an important role. We know that Rotary volunteers form lasting relationships because of their mutual commitment to volunteer time. It is amazing that our Rotarians have been able to find innovative and creative solutions to some of the most difficult issues. This is why I was so happy to have the chance to join Rotary at the age of 22 in. As with many others, Rotary members, it has given me an extremely reliable network of likeminded people from which genuine friendships have been formed over the last 20 years.
