Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins (born in Mexico) is the Mexican American broadcaster. She currently works as an ESPN sportscaster. ESPN who is also anchor for SportsCenter news and hosting SportsNation. Since 2016, Collins has joined ESPN. She is the daughter of Maria Antonieta Collins, a television reporter. Antonietta Collins is a bilingual woman and has been since the age of nine. Her ability in this area helped her to get her first job at Univision, Miami. She worked alongside national producers on shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. It was the CBS subsidiary in St. Petersburg hired her after this as the sports reporter. Then, in 2009 the reporter relocated to Rio Grande Valley Texas where she was employed by KNVO TV 48 Univision as in addition to Fox2 News. Covering stories on the issue of immigration and drug trafficking from both sides of the border, she served as a reporter on newscasts at 5 p.m. Spanish newscast a anchor, reporter and later anchor for anchoring the 9 p.m. newscast in English, and a reporter again for 10 p.m. Spanish newscast. Also, she was often requested to be anchors for the weather and sports. Then she became anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. The station then gave her larger responsibilities. She wrote to The NBA, Dallas Cowboys' postseason, NBA ALDS ALCS World Series or Finals FC Dallas. In addition, she hosted the local Univision 23 sports program Accion Deportiva Extra on which she also served as anchor herself. She was advertised as anchoring sports for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. The anchor also worked in the same role on the magazine program of the network Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents hail from Veracruz Mexico. In Mexico City she was conceived on the 22nd of November, 1985. There is an older sister. The family in 1992 left Mexico and relocated to Miami. Soon after the family split up, and, in 1995 Fabio Fajardo got married again. He died of kidney cancer in the year 2006. In June of 2006, she spent one week with her sibling in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was working at the time. Antonietta had just graduated high school, however she knew her plans for what she would do. It turned out that she enjoyed the university, and the university provided the degree she was looking for. After finishing high school, she made the decision to go to the university to pursue a degree in media studies. Mark Bergmann, her professor who also managed the WRMU's 91.1FM station for which she worked over the years, became an acquaintance. He inspired her to be self-confident and also his love in journalism was a huge influence on her. She, determined to live up to his standards and never fail him.
